The Nations Voice on Mental Illness - A resource for families with children and youth with mental illness, including advocacy information. Links cover current legislation at national level, fact sheets, programs from NAMI, and news.

The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning - Educators and parents can access paid and some free publications about the research on links between social and emotional learning and school success. A recent publication rates social and emotional learning programs on their research base, and may be downloaded in pieces or in its entirety.

The National Institute of Mental Health - Reviewing the newest research projects funded by the National Institutes of Mental Health, this site will be of interest to practitioners who want to keep up to date on the latest findings, including studies specific to issues with children and youth. Includes citations of articles for more information.

UCLA School Mental Health Project - Site for the Technical Assistance Center on Mental Health in Schools, most materials are downloadable at no cost. Information includes specific outlines for schools to use in enhancing mental health in schools. Includes information on violence prevention and an annotated list of empirically supported/evidence-based programs for school-aged children and adolescents. Educators and parents may subscribe to the Center’s quarterly e-newsletter at no cost.

National Mental Health Information Center - the substance abuse and mental health site contains information about promising practices for children and youth mental health. Focuses on the need for interagency, community-wide coordination and support for children and families.
