Least Restrictive Behavioral Interventions
LRBI - Rules & Individual Strategies

Least Restrictive Behavioral Interventions are policies related to the use of positive behavioral supports and behavioral interventions in schools. LRBI ensures that the rights of students are protected and that each student receives a free appropriate public education. The purpose of these Utah standards is to assure that a free appropriate public education is afforded to each student with disabilities in accordance with federal and state rules and regulations. Besides guarding students' rights, these policies provide protection for teachers, other school personnel, school districts, and the Utah State Office of Education. These policies ensure that parents are involved in and informed of the proposal and implementation of behavior intervention to be use with their children.
