1 Express Regard

  • Make eye contact
  • Say name
  • Move closer
  • Position yourself on the student's eye level
  • Use a pleasant voice tone and facial expression

  • Make a statement such as:

3 Describe Behavior

  • "You remembered to by (name the skill) (say steps for skill)

4 Give a Reason

  • "It's important to behave that way because (provide rationale)
